Boards Your Audience Wants to Follow
Yes, you need to create boards where you pin your own content, but don’t forget about boards with related content your audience is looking for. You can also create seasonal boards for different holidays. Not only will this help you get more traction on Pinterest, it’s a lot of fun!
Here’s an example:
If you’re an interior designer, you might have a board for your own articles and tips. Maybe you have boards for decorating different rooms of the house like the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, etc.
When the holidays roll around, you might also make boards with fun holiday decorating ideas!
Rich pins are important because they help you track where your traffic is coming from. When someone clicks one of your pins to go to your website, that will show up in your analytics.
This can get a little techy, but Pinterest provides instructions for setting up rich pins.
A Pinning Schedule
Pinterest’s algorithms like to see that you’re pinning regularly and not just in big chunks every once in a while. Trust me, you definitely want to make the algorithms happy, because then they’ll put your content in front of more people!
This means you need to pin several times a day, every single day. Or you can sign up for a scheduling program like Tailwind to do the pinning for you.
Manual pinning can take a lot of time, so we definitely recommend getting a scheduler.
